Krka National Park
Krka - National Park includes most of the flow of this beautiful river and in addition to natural beauty also abounds in numerous cultural and historical monuments. Among them, the Franciscan monastery on the island of Visovac stands out, which acts as a landscape gem set in a lake created by a river in one part of its course. In the area of the monastery you can visit the gallery of paintings and the monastery church, which dates back to the 14th century. In the middle of the canyon on the upper course of the river there is also an interesting Orthodox monastery Krka and on the hills above the river rise several fortresses. Visitors are also attracted by the old watermills rebuilt into small ethnographic museums, where you can see how grain was once ground. Guides will introduce visitors to the history of the region in traditional costumes, which will always cheer up the children who are frequent visitors to this park. However, the main attraction of the Krka National Park are seven waterfalls, of which the widest is the Roški waterfall and the largest and most famous Skradinski buk.
